Cards for Men - Autumn, DT Card

It's time for a brand new challenge at Cards for Men today and the theme is 'Autumn'. I love this time of year when it's sunny but cold - lovely for long walks followed by a cup of something hot and a cake ;-)

We are being sponsored this time by Crafts & Me who are giving away a beautiful stamp to one lucky person. Crafts and Me has everything for the card maker, with a wide range of rubber stamps from around the world. Teresa has just introduced her own range of rubber stamps from three international artists Hannah Lynn, Molly Harrison and Sara Burrier.

As always the DT have made some beautiful cards, please do pop across and have a peek and have a go at the challenge while you're there.

So onto my card, I have used some new Basic Grey papers from the Wander pad, they are so gorgeous and the colours are brilliant for autumnal projects. I have used a cute boy stamp from Elzybells and paper pieced his top. The star was a shape I made in Word and just cut it out - simples!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Image - Yo-Yo from Elzybells (now only £1.02 in the closing down sale!) coloured with Promarkers

Very pink and very girly x

The challenge I set for the Crafty Place card swap this month was 'Girly'. I am worried I've gone a bit too girly with this card, it's very pink! I popped into Hobbycraft last week for some cardstock and spied this beautiful paper by MME and well, I just had to have it. I was good and only bought one sheet and have used both sides for this card ;-) I have made YET another zig-zag card, this one is 4x12". The paper is so beautifully busy I haven't really used any images. I hope Debbie aka Padster likes it x

No he's not really a lil monster, he's a sweetie but thought he'd like this lil monster chap so popped him on a card. CYDA Challenge 4 - Autumn Doodles, DT card...

It's time for another Craft Your Days Away challenge and the theme this time has been picked by the lovely Carol Ann and it is 'Autumn Doodles'. I had loads of fun making my DT card for this challenge and used a gorgeous freebie digi image from the fabulous Mo Manning (the image was available on Mo's Facebook page last week). I have never done doodles on my cards before and was rather worried that after I'd coloured the cat and paper pieced the leaf, I would muck it up with my rubbish doodling but I think it looks ok, well I rather like it actually.

Please come and join in the fun with our latest challenge over at Craft Your Days Away. We are being sponsored this time by Whimsy Stamps and have a fabby prize up for grabs! My DT team mates have made some stunning creations so please pop by and take a peek.

Please be aware that the wonderful Whimsy Stamps site is having technical problems at the moment and the site is poorly :-( If you would like to order anything whilst it is being fixed please contact the lovely owner directly.. deniselynnstamps@gmail.com.

So here's my card, lots of red and rust colours here...

I paper pieced the leaf in the image and then added another on top to add some dimension.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Supplies:
Image - Fall by Mo Manning, freebie download from Mo's Facebook page coloured with Promarkers
Patterned papers - Nutmeg by Cosmo Cricket, I think these suit the CYDA theme perfectly
Kraft paper - Craftwork Cards (don't think they sell this any more)
Raffia - Papermania
Sentiment - generated on PC
Tools - Woodware leaf punch, circle & scallop circle Nesties

Monochrome Card

This is very different card for me - no image and lots of white space - ekk, white space scares me! I have made this for Fifi Folle's black & white card challenge on MSE, I am sorry but I HAD to add the pink buttons, hope that doesn't disqualify me ;-)
The flowers have been made with scored and folded strips of paper, there's a tutorial here.

Howdy Cowboy!

A cyber friend of mine told me Funky Kits had a bit of a sale on some of the Sugar Nellie stamps so I had a lil browse and a few dropped into my basket, oops this stash ban is not going well at the moment ;-) The lil chap on this card is called Cowboy Luca and I think he is fab, he is only £2.25 in the sale. I have made this card for a friend of Jack's, he has gorgeous red hair so I've given my cowboy the same. I have paper pieced most of his outfit and used another new purchase, the gorgeous Apple Jack paper pad by Sassafras that I recently purchased from Dies To Die For. The number 7 on the card has been made with a piece of knotted string.

Rockin' Robin

Had a bit of a play last night with some new papers. These Christmas papers were from Donna's Den of Crafts. This is YET another Christmas card. I have used the super cute Robin Little Friend digi image from Pollycraft. I have flipped the image over as I liked the worm on the right hand side ;-) As you can see I am getting full value from the Marianne Designs snowflake dies I bought as they are appearing on nearly all my Christmas cards. The set has 3 dies but I am more liking the smaller two of the set.
