Time for a little something Whimsy...

Apologies for not being around much recently, I have started working pretty much full-time and it is leaving little time for crafty sessions or blogging. I am working in a school so have school holidays off so here I am! I just wanted to share a lil pic of my boys at a country park near Kettering. My youngest took Fingers McGraw to the park and we lost him for most of the day, only to find him in the play park where our day started ;-) The boy in green isn't mine, he's a friend of Jack's...

Here's a little tag I have made using a uber cute digi image called Sugar Pie Honey Bunch, designed by Chrissy Armstrong for Whimsy Stamps. I have made him into a festive tag with jingle bells, festive paper and loads of sparkle on his chef hat...

It's challenge time at Whimsy...

It's Wednesday so that means it's time for a new Whimsy Stamps Inspirations challenge! Our theme this week is to make your own flowers and to include a sentiment on your creation, easy or what?

I have used a funky image and sentiment from the Halloween Frames set. This was designed by Ann Vento aka Raindrop Echo Designs and is available to purchase here. I have used this spooky chap to make a fold over flap post it note holder, I didn't follow a tutorial, just made the measurements up to fit the 4"post it note pad...

Don't forget you don't have to use a Whimsy image to enter the challenge (it would be great if you did though!) The prize this week is...

Don't forget also...As well as a random winner being chosen each challenge one lucky player who has used a Whimsy Stamps image (rubber or digital) will have the opportunity to be a Guest Designer for a future challenge. If you have used a Whimsy Image and would like to be a future guest please add GDT to your name when entering. The Guest Designer will be able to choose a digi stamp of their choice from the store to create their guest card too!

Remember anyone can enter our challenge and we don't mind you combining with other challenges either!
All we ask is that you add a link in your blog post to tell your friends you entered the Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Challenge.

Time for a break...

Here's a little treat wallet I made for a special someone, you know who you are ;-) I love the cute image. I measured the chocolate bar and made the wallet size slightly bigger and added a one inch spine to ensure the wallet sat flat when closed (hope that makes sense!)...

The inside - I added a teabag and a Galaxy chocolate bar (found this in the Christmas goodies at Tesco)...

I would like to enter my wallet into the following challenges:
Cuddly Buddly - Anything But A Card

Supplies:
Image - from the Safari Trio set by Nutcrafters coloured with Promarkers

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree...

I saw a super fabulous card on Mandy's (aka Crafty Fox) blog the other week and I had to have a go at one, it's called a Teepee card. There are loads of tutorials online, I followed this one for the basic measurements but not for the putting together so mine looks slightly different. I have used the design to make a festive card as the shape is similar to a christmas tree. I love how the card stands up and fold down for posting. What do you think...

This shows the side with the closure, I used a magnetic clasp by Papermania...

When the red, red robin comes bob, bob bobbin' along..

Hello, not even sure those are the right lyrics but making this card put that song in my head, lol! I have used another of the Tinchies images. This one comes with a sentiment so it's sort of a bogof - buy one get one free stamp ;-) With the nights drawing in I am thinking of Christmas more and more, I love it. Time for hot chocolate with marshmallows!

Frosty the snowman...

As you may have already noticed, I am no longer on the DT's for Cards for Men and Craft Your Days Away. It was a difficult decision to step down but I am starting a new job on Monday, working as a Learning Support Assistant at a primary school and I needed to stop some things to fit everything else into the week and the DT's had to go :-( I am so sad about it and would like to say a HUGE thank you to Donna and Joanne for putting up with me for so long. I've had a ball on their teams and will miss everyone terribly. Sniff, sniff... I have been into the school every day this week to get used to what I'll be doing before I actually start on Monday.

Anyway, enough of my waffling on, here is another festive card using a Tinchies image...

Image - Scarf Snowman coloured with Promarkers
Sentiment - Christmas Sentiments set by Raindrop Echo from Whimsy Stamps
