I have made this card for my brother's birthday. I am so chuffed with myself as his birthday isn't until January so I am well ahead (for once!). As soon as I saw the fabulous image designed by Lia Stampz I knew I wanted to use him for my brother's card. His name is Harry and you can purchase him here. With every Lia Stampz image you buy you also get a selection of fab sentiments so fantastic value for money. I have kept the card design pretty simple as the colours I've used are quite bold.

It's challenge time at Whimsy...

It's Wednesday so that means it's time for a new Whimsy Stamps Inspirations challenge! Our theme this week is Monochromatic.

I have used a fab image from Lia Stampz called Haley and is available to purchase here. I have used her to decorate a blank kraft gift bag. I opened the image in Word and used a text box to add the word Winter to the board Haley is holding. To highlight all the brown I have used touches of black. The pearls started life white and I have coloured them with a black Promarker. I will definitely do this again, the ink dried so quickly. The only 'colour' on the image is a bit of Frosted Lace Stickles...

I added some ribbon and twine to a little paper clip to seal the bag, hopefully to prevent peeking by the recipient ;-)

Don't forget you don't have to use a Whimsy image to enter the challenge (it would be great if you did though!) The prize this week is...

Onto my DT piece, I have made a cover for a box of tissues. I spied a beautiful tissue box cover on Shirley's blog and had to have a go at making one.
