Football fan...

I made this card for a really good friend's son who turned 10 this week. He is completely and utterly football mad so a footie image was a must. I have used quite 'tame' colours for a boys card but I think it works well...

Papers - Indigio Bleu by Pink Paislee
Sentiment - Tim Holtz ticket
Alpha stickets - Bo Bunny

It's Teddy Bo time...

Ooohhh my first post with the new Blogger interface, hope this works ok ;-)

I have been admiring Teddy Bo images for a very long time but have been Teddy-less myself. Well I took advantage of the fab 20% off sale Gayle is having at the moment and snagged myself a couple of images and a beautiful die. Here is my first Teddy Bo card. I have coloured Bo in very pale colours (Promarkers Ivory, Satin and Tan) and used blues for his clothing. I managed to get the new die on this card too, I absolutely love it, it's so elegant...

I would like to enter my Bo card into the following challenges:
MSE - Film/book inspiration (Teddy Robinson)
SJ Crafts - Favourites (blue, pearls, kraft cardstock, butterflies, flowers...)

A bit of Britishness...

As soon as I spied the new Best of British digis by Janet aka Pink Gem Designs, I had to grab a couple. I love the cute owl and have cheated for this card and used the pre-coloured image that comes in the set rather than colour her myself. The little tag behind the image says Keep Calm and Carry On, this is another of Janet's digis...

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
A Gem of a Challenge - Sketch
CYDA - Metal
Crafts 4 Eternity - Something New (image, ribbon & sentiment)
Cute Card Thursday - Metallica

My first Canary!

When this post gets published I will be making ny way to Legoland with my monkeys. Hope the rain stays away ;-)

Krista Smith aka Saturated Canary had a fantastic offer of 40% off her digis at the weekend so I grabbed a few. I have seen these all over blogland and love them but have been resisting as I have so little time to craft now I am working (been 6 months now!). But tempation got the better of me and I had a wander to Krista's Etsy shop and here's the result with my first Canary...

I'm quite pleased with how she came out. Blue and yellow is my fave colour combo at the moment.

No Colouring Required...

I spied some of Sylvia Zet's images as toppers and had to have some. The colouring of them is fabulous. Toppers make such quick cards. I followed the key colours in the image to choose my papers and embellies. I usually opt for one or two colours but the image has three main colours - pink, blue and yellow so I used all three for the accessories...

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Flowers - Crafty Emma's Store & Joanna Sheen

Happy Easter!

Just a little message to wish you all a very Happy Easter. My eldest is making his way to Cromer today with his rugby team and their coaches for an activity weekend rounded off with a rugby festival at Holt on Sunday. The rest of us are going to head up to Cromer on Saturday and we are going to watch the rugby matches on Sunday. I would imagine all the children are going to be out on their feet after 2 nights away from home getting up to all sorts ;-)
