Giving Thanks...

Hello, hope you have all had a wonderful time over Christmas. We've had a lovely time, lots of gifts, lots of food, really can't complain about anything apart from... the dreadfully dull weather :-(

I always make sure my boys send thank you notes for all the kind and generous gifts they receive at Christmas. I have tended to buy packs of cards as we have to write so many but thought I'd make them this year. I wanted a design that was quick and simple to put together so it was easy to replicate. I bought a Very Merry Goody Bag from Craftwork Cards weeks ago for the bargainous price of a fiver and never used it for Christmas cards (completely ran out of time). I used some of the contents to make these Thank You cards along with a Pink Petticoat sentiment and a few sheets of Dovecraft paper. I made 20 cards in about 2.5 hours. Here's a selection of what I made...

I really like them, simple yet pretty I think.

Supplies:
Images, flowers, papers, candi, card blanks - Very Merry Goody Bag from Craftwork Cards
Other paper - Back To Baics Modern Christmas by Dovecraft
Sentiment - from the Tiny Heartfelt Sentiments set by Pink Petticoat

Owl Always Love You...

Good morning to you all, it's time for a new challenge at Allsorts challenge blog. Our theme this week is It's As Plain As Black and White.

So onto my DT card, now I don't make many black & white cards but I really enjoyed making this one. I have used a fabulous owl image/sentiment set and paper from Digistamp Boutique (both items are new and on special offer this month!). I have chosen to leave my image uncoloured to fit the b&w theme. Without any colouring to do the card took no time at all to put together. I've just added some Stardust Stickles to the Owl's heart...

Supplies:
Image/sentiment - from the Simply for Valentines A4 set from Digistamp Boutique. This month you get 6 images with sentiments in both black/white and coloured versions for only £1.40!
Paper - from the Heartfelt paper set from Digistamp Boutique
Ribbon & pearls - stash
Other - Circle & scallop circle Nestabilities dies, Marianne Design Creatables butterfly dies, Quickutz corner die, brown chalk inkpad, Stardust Stickles

Please do come and join us over at Allsorts this week for our challenge x

Only 6 Sleeps To Go...!

Morning crafters, I have a huge apology to make, I have been the worst ever blogger and have not been keeping up with my commenting. Life has been filled with present buying, card writing, school christmas performances, seeing friends and family and other 'getting ready for Christmas' activities. Today is my last day at work and I intend spending lots of time over the school holidays getting up to date with all your creations, I've soooooo missed visiting your blogs :-(

We are now midway through our Anything Goes So Long As It's Festive challenge at Whimsy Stamps. I have made a cute card using a gorgeous image created by Moon Cookie Gallery aka Natalie. I have gone for my fave pale blue shades, this is my very last festive card for 2012...

I do hope you can join in with our challenge this time x

Stitchy Bear

So onto my DT card, I chose black as my 'other' colour and have used a super beautiful deer image from our sponsor Stitchy Bear Stamps.
