Pink but only a little...

Good morning, hope all my UK friends have survived the storms without problems. I am on school holiday this week with my 2 monkeys. We had a lazy, catching up at home day yesterday and are off to an indoor play centre soon then to the dentist for check ups later.

I have an engagement card to share today that I made for a lovely friend of mine. This is the very first engagement card I have made. I kept the design really simple and gave the card with a bottle of pink fizz...

Supplies:
Image - from the Sketchy Flowers set from Digistamp Boutique coloured with Promarkers
Sentiment - used PC
Pink ribbon - from a lovely friend x
Pearls, pink card, vellum - stash
Other - Martha Stewart butterfly punch

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
Hobby Cutz - Bingo (pearls, free, ribbon)

Here is a little pic of my youngest son Thomas just before I took him to a disco party on Sunday afternoon. Doesn't he look cute! Well when we got home from the party it was about 6pm and pitch black outside. It had already started to rain. We jumped out of the car, I locked it remotely and dashed into the house. Well, the following morning we found the passenger door open and rather a lot of water inside the car, oops :-( Luckily everything seems to still work ok but I think it's going to take about a year for the passenger seat to properly dry out!

Thanks for dropping by today x

Button Tree...

Hello everyone, I've made a bit of a different card with no image. I have made a tree shape out of buttons ;-) I saw a card somewhere on the w.w.w. with a button tree ages ago and thought it looked great so thought I'd have a go. Another first is the double bow. I've seen double bows on other people's work for months and finally got round to learning how to make them using a fab tutorial by Jak Heath here. I've used some gorgeous new papers by Basic Grey, I love them...

Supplies:
Papers - 25th and Pine by Basic Grey
Sentiment - cut from one of the paper sheets
Ribbon & dotty buttons - The Ribbon Girl
Green buttons & pearl - stash
Other - Memory Box Precious Mittens die, Crafts Too Xmas Foliage die, circle & scallop circle Nestabilities dies, kraft cardstock

Happy October to you, can't quite believe we've got to October already! I am off work today, poorly sick, I've had enough of it now :-(

I have to admit I have started my Christmas shopping, not gone mad yet but have started to have a think and bought/ordered a few things. I hate leaving presents and then having to buy something last minute. Oh the stress!
