New Job Card...

I am having my hair cut and coloured today, a pre-Christmas treat :-) The panto on Saturday was brilliant, very funny and my boys really got into the audience participation. All our presents are now bought and wrapped and I spent the day yesterday cleaning the house so we are pretty ready for the arrival of the big man in the red suit.

Please excuse my rubbish photo :-( I made this new job card for a lovely lady. I used a fab image from Time for Tea Designs and some gorgeous new paper. My pic really doesn't do justice to the lovely colours...

Supplies:
Image - Hi There! from Time for Tea Designs coloured with Promarkers & Flexmarkers
Papers - Ambrosia by Bazzill
Flowers - The Ribbon Girl & stash
Seam binding - Crafty Ribbons
Buttons & pearls - stash
Other - Spellbinders Floral Oval die, Spellbinders circle & scallop circle dies, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, kraft cardstock, brown chalk inkpad

A Colour Challenge...

Good morning, so sorry for being awol these last couple of weeks, things have been mad busy with work and trying to get ready for Christmas. Only 4 sleeps now!!! It was my last day at work on Friday and now have 2 lovely weeks off to indulge in some quality family time and hopefully a bit of crafting and catching up with your blogs. We're off to the panto after lunch to see Jack & The Beanstalk.

It's time for a new challenge at Allsorts and our theme is 'Brown and Blue/Aqua/Turquoise' chosen by the lovely Brenda. As Christmas is just around the corner this challenge is lasting for two weeks rather than the usual one week. Our wonderful sponsors are Crimson Cloud, Digi Darla Designs and Whiff of Joy. So 3 chances to win :-) And there is an extra prize for all of our entrants from Ignacio at Nicecrane Designs, if you pop over to his blog here you will be able to collect one of his designs free of charge for you to use on your artwork.
Winners will receive aan exclusive Crimson Cloud stamp set  Digi Darla 5 images of winners choice
Prize is a stamp of winners choice  Nicecrane

Onto my DT make, I have made a couple of small hanging calendars. I find one of these really useful to have at home and made these to give as gifts. I simply cut a base of kraft card using a Spellbinders Labels One die (the largest) and matting a piece of paper over the top. I have punched holes to thread some ribbon so the calendar can be hung. They took only minutes to make really but make quite a nice gift I think. You can also use up leftover scraps of paper and ribbon as they are small...

Supplies:
Papers, ribbons, button and flowers - stash
Calendar tabs - Anitas by Docrafts
Other - Spellbinders Labels One die, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, brown chalk inkpad, kraft cardstock

Please do come and join us over at Allsorts this week for our challenge x

Hellish Week and Frosty the Snowman...

Oh what a week last week was!!! Thomas got his finger trapped in the hinge side of a door when it shut and has a horrible bruised fingernail. Jack dropped something on his foot and badly bruised one of his big toes. To top the week off, the day after my birthday, we went out for afternoon tea and ice skating and Jack fell on the ice and fractured his left elbow :-( Awful evening but we received such fab treatment at our local hospital. He now needs to see an orthopedic (sp?) doctor and we will find out if they want to plaster his arm or leave it in the sling it is currently in. Jack can't do any sport for at least 6 weeks - eeekkk! So no rugby, tennis, Taekwon-do or swimming or any physical activity at school. He's one grumpy boy :-(

Anyway, I completely forgot to draw a winner for my birthday candy so just done it and the winner is... Number 1, K. Congratulations K :-) Will get the calendar off to you as soon as I can x

I know I am waaaaayyyyyy behind with blog commenting. These last couple of week's have been mad busy. I will try and catch up the best I can, I have really missed seeing your gorgeous projects.

This is a card I made a couple of weeks ago. I think the card looks slightly odd in the photo as it looks like I have randomly added gems whereas they are embellishing the embossed background and only placed in the centre of snowflakes and as the dot for the i in Winter. Now I see the photo I'm not sure it works...?

A close up of the embossed background...

Supplies:
Image - from the Holly-Jolly Penny Black clear stamp set coloured with Promarkers & Flexmarkers
Flowers, gems & snowman charm - stash
Ribbon - Crafty Ribbons (had this ribbon for ages!)
Other - Sizzix winter embossing folder, Spellbinders Floral Oval die, Star Dust Stickles
