Crafty Place Alter a Container for Xmas Challenge

This is my altered container, it is a bag of 24 little envelopes with questions, discussion topics and other bits (Christmas CD, 2 scratch cards and a decoration), one to be opened per day of advent.

I have used a brown paper food bag (bought from Home Bargains, 10 for 89p I think). I have covered the front and back of the bag with beautiful Imaginisce papers and added a kraft paper label to explain what to do with the contents of the bag.

Here are the envelopes that are hiding inside the bag, I bought some mini brown envelopes from ebay (thought afterwards that I could have used little brown money envelopes and that probably would have worked out cheaper) and decorated them with a little holly stamp from Elzybells.

This decoration was made from a Basic Grey pack of decorations I bought in the sale after last Christmas. All you do is fold and glue and add the string to hang.

Hope my mum and dad like their alternative advent calendar ;-)

Basic Grey Challenge - Week 3 Inspiration

I loved making this card and looking at the picture on the BG Challenge blog for inspiration. I used one of my favourite BG papers, such a favourite that I haven't used it before as it is so beautiful ;-) I have kept all the colours soft. I used a large square card blank from Craftwork Cards, cream Bazzill cardstock, beautiful BG Wisteria papers, Magnolia Tilda with flowers image coloured with ProMarkers, silver flower charm from ebay a while ago, embossed vellum (used for flowers in top left corner) was given to me - thank you Karen x, ivory organza ribbon from my stash. Hope you like it x

CRAFT Challenge 15 - Anything except a Card

This is my entry for the CRAFT Challenge - 'Anything except a card'. I have altered a tin (packaging from a Xmas pressie last year - had a Jamie Oliver mug inside). I have used K&Co Swell Noel papers that I bought in a sale somewhere online after Xmas 2008 and the tin will be a present for me to give this Xmas. I had the idea that I could add items to the tin that co-ordinated as I love the papers so I made/altered some other bits...

So inside the tin I've added a little package of cranberry teabags, a 2010 coaster calendar with a magnet on the back, a post-it note holder and a notebook & pen set.

I bought the little notebook from Tesco a few weeks ago (think they were 2 for £1 at the time). I have added paper to the front of the notebook and also wrapped around the pen. The little packet is cranberry teabags and I have simply added a sleeve of the paper and a flower.

This is a post-it note holder using a coaster and a clippy thing (bought a tub of them from Home Bargains for 99p) and a coaster calendar (calendar tab by Anita's - 99p for 10).

Passion for ProMarkers Challenge - Week 15 Girly & Glittery

This is my card for the current Passion for ProMarkers challenge. I am pretty new to using ProMarkers but I am in love with them already. I stuck to pink shades (blush, coral, dusky pink...) to colour my Magnolia girly in. I added some Stickles glitter glue to the flowers in her hair. My paper is from DCWV Nana's Nursery and is also glittered. The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards. The embossed vellum circle is from my lovely friend Karen and it's the first one of these I've actually used as I think they are too beautiful to use. Pink cardstock, adhesive pearls, flowers, brad and ribbon are all from my stash. Hope you like it, I really enjoyed making it x
