It's sketch time at Craft Your Days Away...

Good morning, it's time for challenge number 14 at CYDA. We have a fabulous challenge for you chosen by our lovely team leader Joanne. Our challenge theme this time is to use the sketch below...

We are being sponsored by the fabulous Crafty Emma's Store, anyone who is a regular visitor to my blog knows I shop here quite a bit ;-)

Please do come and join in the fun and check out the gorgeous creations made by my lovely team mates. So onto my DT card, I decided to make a girly card using some gorgeous new papers and a new Tilda stamp. I have made the ribbon and bow effect using a strip of paper; to make the bow I curled the paper with some scissors before securing it in place so I had nice curves to the bow. Hope you like it.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
Charisma Cardz - Spring has Sprung
Fab n Funky - Make Your Own (ribbon & bow embellie)
Sarah Hurley - Food & Drink (cupcakes on the paper & I think Tilda may be carrying one in that lil box!)
Supplies:
Image - Tilda with a small gift coloured with Promarkers
Paper - Tea House by Dovecraft from Crafty Emma's Store (72 sheets for £3.99!)
Blue cardstock - Bazzill
Flowers - Crafty Emma's Store and Wild Orchid Crafts
Pearls - The Hobby House
Tools - Deckle Edge Nesties, Cystal Stickles (lots of it!)

My first spring-time card of 2011

I can't wait for Spring, I really can't. I love the slightly chilly mornings with the bright blue sky, long walks in the woods looking at all the new growth on the trees... And of course there's Easter, who doesn't like Easter!

I have made this card with a new Bildmalarna stamp I bought recently from Dies to Die for. I absolutely love it, the lil bears are soooo cute. I have used some of the fab seam binding now available at Crafty Ribbons. I have scrunched it up before using to give it an aged look.

Our sponsor this time is the wonderful One Stop Card Crafts and the prize is a £10 gift voucher to spend at the store.

So onto my DT card, I've made a card for my eldest son Jack who turns 7 next month. I think I sometimes make my cards too faffy so strived for CAS with this card. I used a 6x6 card blank and cut off half the front. The image is a cutey from Bugaboo available here. I pasted the image into Word and added 3 stars and a sentiment. I love how you can do that easily with digital images...

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Supplies:
Image - World Boy from Bugaboo coloured with Promarkers
Papers - Blueberry Pie by Papermania

Tilda in the rain

This is my absolutely favourite Tilda. I think she is the first one I ever bought. I have added a sentiment but it is on the inside and reads "Anyone who thinks sunshine brings happiness has never danced in the rain". I love that sentiment x

A close up of the ribbon, I think it's gorgeous, it's a sort of stretchy material, found it in Hobbycraft when looking for some red ribbon that I needed last minute.

My Dabble with Scrapbooking...

Here is the scrapbook I made for my brother and SIL as a gift when my nephew (finally!) arrived. I haven't done much scrapbooking at all but thought it makes a nice new baby gift. I used the gorgeous set of baby stamps from Ladybug Crafts Ink and some papers by Making Memories. I think it looks ok for a newbie scrapper. All the new parents need to do with the first 6 pages is add photos, the rest of the album is up to them...

Supplies:
Scrapbook - 8x8 Papermania
Paper, stickers and epoxy dots - Little Kids by Making Memories
Images and sentiments - on front cover: Baby Blanket from Lili of the Valley; on pages: Baby Baby from Ladybug Crafts Ink (I LOVE this set), clear baby sentiments by American Crafts, ticket sentiments by Whimsy Stamps from Quixotic Paperie
Cardstock - Bazzill kraft
Ribbons - Crafty Ribbons and stash
Sentiment ribbon - Pink Petticoat
Tools - Martha Stewart photo corner punch
