Cards For Men - Challenge 21, Happy Birthday!

It's time for a brand new challenge at Cards for Men today and the theme is 'Happy Birthday'. What a lovely easy challenge ;-) Due to me having only half a brain in my head this week after all the goings on of last week, I have mucked up and not made a card with an image from our fab sponsor, Fresh Brewed Designs. I am so sorry :-(

Fresh Brewed Designs are sponsoring our challenge with a voucher to spend at their fab store. This is what the owner Heather Dennis has to say... Hi. I am Heather Dennis. I am a homeschooling mother of 2 wonderful children, the wife of 12 years to the love of my life, a Christian and the owner of Fresh Brewed Designs. I have loved to draw and create ever since I was a child. My daughter has inherited my love of art and recently inspired me to start creating again. All the images in my shop are hand drawn. I offer a wide range of images from coffee, cute and inspirational.I also love to create custom drawn images, so if you are looking for anything in particular, please feel free to drop me an email.

As always the DT have made some beautiful cards, please do pop across and have a peek and have a go at the challenge while you're there.

So onto my card, I have gone for clean & simple (and quick!) and used a gorgeous Lili of the Valley die cut square...

We Need Your Help!!!

My friend Trisha is wanting to increase awareness of the work of The Ear Trust and to raise money to help them to do more of their amazing work. Janette from Stamping Dragon Designs has created an amazing snail digi which she has kindly given permission to Trisha to sell to fundraise. Janette has also done a fab christmas version too. Both versions are available to buy for £1.50 each from Trisha via paypal - gift payment to birchallteresa@yahoo.com. Please state whether you'd like the Santa Snail or Normal or like me, order both ;-)

Pop over to Trisha's blog and read her very personal story regarding her family and The Ear Trust and to see what she has created with the images so far and enter her fab bog candy, available to everyone who buys a Snail digi. All money raised is to go to The Ear Trust.

Here are some wallets that Trisha has made using the Santa Snail digis, aren't they cute!

Thanks for reading x

A Lili of the Valley Christmas Card

I've had a heavy couple of weeks and haven't felt like making anything really apart from my DT work but got the crafting bug last night and came up with this Christmas card. I've used the gorgeous Christmas Candle stamp by Lili of the Valley that I won on the LOTV Ideas to Inspire Blog a couple of weeks ago, I love it, it is so beautiful and a joy to colour. My ribbon was a purchase from the Hobby House stand at Ally Pally, I could have easily spend hundreds and hundreds on that one stand. I am so glad I do not live near the Hobby House shop as I would be in their permanently and my OH would probably file for divorce ;-)

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Card blank - Craftwork Cards, I love this shape

First GD card for The Corrosive Challenge Blog

I won the chance to be a GD for The Corrosive Challenge Blog for the whole month of October, what a fantastic prize! The challenge this time is a colour combo of Turquoise, Pink and Red. Arrgghh I thought, then I calmed down and had a think and realised this is a beautiful colour combination, perfect for a Christmas card I thought ;-)

So, this is my GD card, I have used some new papers by Basic Grey from the Jovial pad, wow these are stunning papers! My image is a lil cutie penguin from Pink Petticoat. I have only used a touch of pink for the penguins scarf and the snowflakes. The snowflakes have been sprayed liberally in Glimmer Mist for extra Christmas sparkle.

I do hope you will come and join me at The Corrosive Challenge Blog this time, please do come and see the work of the DT, it's FAB x

So onto my DT card, I've made a zig-zag card with the dimensions 5"x12" and scored the 12" side at 4" and 8".
