First Easter Card

This is the first Easter card I've made so far this year - need to get a move on with the rest as Easter is only just round the corner ;-)

I've stitched a cute chick from Cross Stitch Crazy magazine and backed it with a piece of DCWV Spring paper and used yet another of my lovely scallop edged cards!

This card is for my nan to go with a flannel chick.

Mel's MSE Tearing Card Challenge

After doing the Creative Card Crew challenge for this week I thought I'd try the tearing challenge using the same materials. I have torn the black cardstock and around the girl image. I quite like the starkness of the card, I like the black and I didn't think I would.

Creative Card Crew No Paper Challenge 2

This is my entry for the Creative Card Crew no paper challenge. I used a scallop edge card blank, piece of core'dinations black cardstock, red ribbon, paper flowers and image and greeting from Craftwork Cards. I added a few red gems and gave the girl red glittery lips ;-) I think this is my first go at cards with black as the main colour but am pretty happy with the finished card. Thanks for setting a fab challenge http://creativecardcrew.blogspot.com/ :-)

Green Cards for Creative Card Crew Challenge

This is a square scallop edge card from Craftwork Cards, inked edge in green. Used a scallop circle punch to create the green half circle at top of card (paper by Lili of the Valley), green ribbon and inked edge of Craftwork Cards message. Dragon is by Lili of the Valley and I added a couple of green gems and goggly eyes. I think he looks very sweet!

This is made using the same card blank as before, edges inked as before. I cut a circle of Lili of the Valley background paper using a scallop circle punch and attached it to the centre of the card. I used a Lili of the Valley die cut fairy image and used Stickles glitter glue in a few places to make her sparkly. The birthday greeting is by Craftwork cards again and inked as before. I have tied a know in a piece of thin green ribbon and threaded the ribbon ends into the central hole of a paper flower and pulled the ribbon to form a stem. Added a couple of green gems to the bottom left corner.

I made these cards for the Creative Card Crew blogspot challenge... http://creativecardcrew.blogspot.com/

Mother's Day Card for the MIL...

I used a stitching template from Papermania for the flowers and curved line down the right hand side and 2 threads of DMC embroidery thread to stitch. I cut along the curved line (not very well ). I backed the inside of the card with a piece of brown scrapbooking paper, colour side down, and cut it to the size of the card so you can see a piece of the brown paper at the front - does that make sense? It's for the MIL, hope she likes it!

Book of Quotes for a mum

I made this book for a friend's birthday present. I used a Basic Grey matchbook as the book, came as a die cut sheet and you just pop the pieces out and assemble the book, was really easy!

Look what I made

Made my first square around mini album recently, quite pleased with how it has turned out, it's for my mum for mother's day in place of a card...

This page contains stitched elements - flowers on the tag and a cute butterfly on the page.
