A Little Box For My Mum...

Sorry for the poor pics but I wanted to show you a little pot I've made for my mum for her birthday. It's a Framescraft product and you cross-stitch a design to pop in the lid of the pot. The fabric is 22 count so for a tiny design it actually took a couple of hours to stitch cos the holes are soooo close together! I've popped a lucky sixpence into the pot which was minted the year my mum was born, 1945 (you can work her age out from that!). I got the coin from ebay and also managed to bag a Royal Doulton lady from there also for my mum, she loves them and loves them more if the lady has been pre-owned. It's taken me weeks of watching them to finally win one at a bargain price. She's called Ninette and is a smallish figurine (10cm), think my mum will love her x
