My First DT Card for Cards For Men - A Recipe

Ok, this is my first DT card for the fab Cards for Men challenge blog. I am so excited to be joining Donna and the team and I've had a great welcome, thank you ladies x

The challenge this time is a recipe - 1 image, 2 papers and 3 embellishments. Isn't that fab, loads of scope with this one! Please hop over to Cards for Men to check out the rest of the DT cards, they are stunning. We are being sponsored this time by One Stop Card Crafts and for the duration of the challenge there is a lovely 10% discount for Cards for Men challenge participants, pop over to Cards for Men to find out the details.

I tend to make male cards using brown and/or blue so I have stepped outsde my comfort zone and I have gone for a summery card (just at the time that it started raining here - roll eyes!). I wanted to use a Lili of the Valley stamp I bought a little while ago but hadn't used yet. It really was a joy to colour. I helped make the card look 'manly' with staples and string and lots of distressing. I think it works.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Supplies:
Image - By The River by Lili of the Valley coloured with Promarkers
Papers - Early Bird by Cosmo Cricket
Sentiment - Craftwork Cards
Buttons, string & staples - from stash
Tools - scissors for distressing, Nestie circles & scallop circles

  1. Wonderful card, Sarah. I think The Stamp Man has a 'summer' theme for their July challenge if you want to check it out. There's a corker of a prize up for grabs.

I think that all the elements on your card work wonderfully together,

    Donna xx
