A Passion for Flowers...

Good morning, it's time for a new challenge at Allsorts and our theme this week is 'A Passion for Flowers'. Easy hey! This was a challenge with a fabulous twist for us DT girlies as we were given a 'kit' to work with by the lovely Brenda. Our wonderful sponsors this week are Ruth Hamilton owner of A Passion for Stamps and designer of a few of the items in our DT kit which is shown below AND The Ribbon Girl.

A Passion for Flowers

So onto my DT card, I used some of the stash provided in my DT kit and added a couple of other bits. I ooohhhed and aaarrrhhhed at all the things Brenda had sent me, the colour scheme is very me. I chose to make a focal point of the beautiful domed window diecut from the DT kit (this is made with a Tonic die designed by Ruth Hamilton). I matted it onto some DP and added a bird cage and a fussy cut flower vase image. In order to draw the eye to the window I kept the other details quite minimal - some ribbon, a flower and some gems...

A sideways view to show the dimension...

Something beginning with ...?

Good morning, it's time for a new challenge at Allsorts challenge blog and our theme this week is 'Use Your Name' - use something on your creation starting with the same letter as your name. Easy hey! Our wonderful sponsor is Crimson Cloud.

Her name is Jo Davies and her brand is Time For Tea Designs. The cutey I used on this card is called Flower Freya. I have gone very girly and used lots of stash beginning with the first letter of my name - stripes (paper), seam binding, Stickles, scalllops (oval Nestabilities die) and a sentiment.

This little piggy...

I have made something a little different for me. This is an easel card using a super cute piggy image by Crissy Armstrong called I Smell Spring. Rather than use the image as it is I decided to cut the piggy out and mount him on an easel card using some paper and dies to create a sort of farmyard scene. I have used oodles of Whimsy Stamps products on this card (5 items I think!). What do you think...? Told you it was different for me ;-)

A close up of the main part of the card...
 A sideways view...
A close up of the piggy, can you see I've added muddy splodges on his face...
A close up of my new button stamp and die, love these...
I love, love, love this sentiment (reason why I added mud marks to the pig's face!)...

Phew, sorry for all the photos but I don't normally make such detailed cards, lol ;-)

Supplies:
Image - I Smell Spring coloured with Promarkers & Flexmarkers
Real friends sentiment - from the Funny Friend Sayings set
Button sentiment - from the Everyday Button Sentiments set
Pearls, raffia & lace - stash
Paper - Doodle Deux by Prima
Other - Whimsy Stamps button die, Whimsy Stamps picket fence die, Memory Box fancy blossom die, Memory Box cloud die, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, Deckle edge rectangle die, brown chalk ink pad, Icicle Stickles

The new Whimsy Stamps challenge is Pretty in Pink and can be viewed here.
