Birthday madness!

Good morning peeps, it's my 40th birthday today and I am planning on having a lovely day with my family. Rich and I are going to Tom Kerridge's pub The Hand & Flowers for dinner tonight and then celebrating with friends tomorrow :-) It's time for a new challenge at Allsorts today and our theme is 'Milestone Birthdays' hosted by yours truly ;-) By Milestone Birthday I mean those special birthdays such as 1st, 18th, 21st, 30th, 40th, 50th etc... Our wonderful sponsor is Stix 2.

 

I have made a card for a fab friend who is soon to turn 40. He is a coach for 2 youth football teams so spends most of his weekends in his kit on a muddy football pitch somewhere or other. I thought Football Alf was perfect...

Happy Thursday peeps. I am getting rather excited as it is my birthday on Saturday and we are off to Tom Kerridge's well known pub The Hand & Flowers for a celebratory dinner. Can't wait!

A gorgeous friend sent me a huge set of Bebunni Christmas goodies including papers, toppers, epoxy dots and decoupage. This was a super quick to make card using a really cute topper image. I have decorated the inside of the card with a strip of paper I cut off the piece for the front of the card and an epoxy dot which is the same as the image on the front but much, much smaller...

No Designer Papers - eeek!

Good morning peeps, it's time for a new challenge at Allsorts today and our theme is 'No Designer Paper' hosted by the lovely Brenda. Our wonderful sponsors are A Passion for Stamps and Nicecrane Designs. 

  

I first chose an image from our sponsor Nicecrane Designs and then decided to use an embossing folder to create the background and keep everything white with touches of brown ink round the edges in line with the pretty outfit worn by the fairy on the image. I have hidden a message tag behind the image.

Christmas Surprises...

Good morning to you! Well things have been a bit hectic here, Jack fell and hurt his wrist at the weekend causing him lots of pain. I did get him checked out at the hospital and he has sprained some ligaments. He has a sling to wear to rest his arm for this week. He wasn't able to take part in the rugby tournament on Sunday, we went to watch and cheer the team on but he was gutted he couldn't play. It was my wedding anniversary on Sunday also, 12 years! Rich made one of my favourite dinners, chicken parmigiano. We use this recipe and we all love it, really nice with some garlic bread on the side or a crunchy salad.

Anyway, onto my card share for today... I dug out some Forever Friends toppers and papers I bought last year and barely used. Very simple design...

Anything But A Card

Good morning peeps, we are meeting up with my brother and his family today in Swindon (sort of a mid-way point between us). Tomorrow is going to be spent at the side of the rugby pitch cheering on Jack's team on in a local competition, I have everything crossed for decent weather! It's time for a new challenge at Allsorts today and our theme is 'Anything But A Card' hosted by the lovely Tracy Mouse. Our wonderful sponsor is PPR Papercrafts.

  

I've made a floral wreath from a kit I bought from Craftwork Cards a while ago. It was pretty easy to put together and I'm really pleased with the end result. I added random buttons to the flower centres for a touch of extra dimension. What do you think? There is enough supplies in the kit to make at least 2 more wreaths, I think they will make nice little extra gifts at Christmas.

Sorry about the red tinge to the pic, I took it in Jack's room (I wanted to hang the wreath up) and he has red painted walls ;-)
