Create4fun Challenge Week 39 - Sketch

I completely loved following this sketch for the Create4Fun challenge and loved making this card. It was a perfect excuse to break open my new Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses papers and use lots of them in one go!

My husband said the card is far too busy-looking but I love it. I used a large square card blank from Craftwork Cards, Bazzill red cardstock for matting, BG Eskimo Kisses papers, 3 red dew drops from Sarah's Cards, a small heart charm threaded with red ribbon - both from my stash and a beautiful Winter Tilda image coloured with Promarkers and mounted on foam pads.
Thank you for a fantastic challenge x

Here are some more coaster creations...

Here are some more coaster post-it note holders and calendars. I reaslly enjoy making these and with my new X-Cut guillotine cutting paper is sooooo much easier! I have used some new Christmas papers from Papermania, some MME, Imaginisce and I can't remember who makes the brown reindeer one ;-) Post It Notes are from Asda, 12 for £2 and the calendars are by Anita's. Flowers and bits of ribbon are all from my stash. These are all to sell at my forthcoming craft fairs. First one being on 14th November.

MSE Scrap Paper and Die Cut Challenge

I am not completely happy with how these cards have turned out but I really struggle with doing boy/man cards anyway. I used bits of Basic Grey Archaic papers that I had leftover from other projects and die-cut the number 6 with my Quickutz Squeeze. I added pretend stitches to the circles with the dinosaurs on and a few buttons for some dimension.

My lovely new Basic Grey papers arrived today!!!

Aren't they beautiful, I am sooooo in love with these papers. I pre-ordered them from Charmed Cards and Crafts.

The postie bought me these lovely cards...

The lovely Oona made me this card, isn't it pretty, I love the colours she's used x

This is the ATC Marg sent me for the Crafty Place ATC swap and some extra goodies. I love the image on the ATC, it's sooo cute x
Thank you lovely ladies :-)

Crafty Place ATC Swap

This is the ATC I made and sent to Marg for the Crafty Place ATC swap this month. The theme was red and green so that screamed Christmas to me so I went with Christmas and made this! The image was a freebie stamp from a magazine. I stamped the bear several times so I could layer him up in a decoupage style. The paper lace is coloured with a Promarker pen and I found the cute little heart charm in my stash. I hope Marg likes it, I really enjoyed making it x

CRAFT Challenge 17 - Pink and Brown

Here's my card for the pink and brown challenge over on the brilliant CRAFT blog. I have made this swing card for my friend Tams for the Crafty Place card swap. I know I chose the 'theme' but found the card pretty hard to make and I'm still not sure if I've folded it correctly ;-) Anyway, I used pink and brown Bazzill cardstock and stamped brown swirls onto the frame of the card. The Tilda image is coloured with Promakers and I added a couple of flowers, bit of organza ribbon, candy dots and stamped my favourite sentiment (from Magnolia). Hope Tams likes it x

Bee Crafty Challenge 13 - Make a Bookmark

Here's my first ever bookmark! I loved making it and used the fab freebie stack of books download from Bee Crafty and an owl stamped image (Magnolia I think?). I made the bookmark with a strip of card covered in MME paper from the Merry Days of Christmas range . The brown fibres are actually 4 lengths of garden string. I am definitely going to make more bookmarks now, thank you so much for the idea :-)

Made some more coaster gifts...

I've been gluing and cutting round coasters like mad and made some more magnetic coaster calendars and some post-it note holders. I've added a stamped message onto the front post-it note as I hope to sell them at Christmas craft fairs/give them as Christmas gifts. I intend to add a bit of ribbon to the clips that don't currently have ribbon on but need to put these coasters away and make a few cards before I overdose on coasters ;-)

Lovely card from the lovely Skiergirl

Look at my lovely card from the lovely Skiergirl, in my fave colour too x

I coloured the K&Co paper lace with Blush ProMarker pen and part-covered the embossed paper with white lace. Hope you like it x

Creative Card Crew Challenge 26 - Have a fairy nice day

Here's my card for the CCC fairy challenge. I chose to cross stitch a fairy image (to have a change from stamping!) and think she looks quite pretty. I used DMC threads and a fairy alphabet chart from The World of Cross Stitching magazine - the card is for someone with a name beginning with K. The papers are DCWV Nana's Nursery, I so love these papers. I finished with some pale pink dew drops from Sarah's Cards and a bit of pink organza ribbon from my stash.

Crafty Place Alter a Container for Xmas Challenge

This is my altered container, it is a bag of 24 little envelopes with questions, discussion topics and other bits (Christmas CD, 2 scratch cards and a decoration), one to be opened per day of advent.

I have used a brown paper food bag (bought from Home Bargains, 10 for 89p I think). I have covered the front and back of the bag with beautiful Imaginisce papers and added a kraft paper label to explain what to do with the contents of the bag.

Here are the envelopes that are hiding inside the bag, I bought some mini brown envelopes from ebay (thought afterwards that I could have used little brown money envelopes and that probably would have worked out cheaper) and decorated them with a little holly stamp from Elzybells.

This decoration was made from a Basic Grey pack of decorations I bought in the sale after last Christmas. All you do is fold and glue and add the string to hang.

Hope my mum and dad like their alternative advent calendar ;-)

Basic Grey Challenge - Week 3 Inspiration

I loved making this card and looking at the picture on the BG Challenge blog for inspiration. I used one of my favourite BG papers, such a favourite that I haven't used it before as it is so beautiful ;-) I have kept all the colours soft. I used a large square card blank from Craftwork Cards, cream Bazzill cardstock, beautiful BG Wisteria papers, Magnolia Tilda with flowers image coloured with ProMarkers, silver flower charm from ebay a while ago, embossed vellum (used for flowers in top left corner) was given to me - thank you Karen x, ivory organza ribbon from my stash. Hope you like it x

I used ProMarkers to colour and lovely Stickles glitter glue to finish xxx

CRAFT Challenge 15 - Anything except a Card

This is my entry for the CRAFT Challenge - 'Anything except a card'. I have altered a tin (packaging from a Xmas pressie last year - had a Jamie Oliver mug inside). I have used K&Co Swell Noel papers that I bought in a sale somewhere online after Xmas 2008 and the tin will be a present for me to give this Xmas. I had the idea that I could add items to the tin that co-ordinated as I love the papers so I made/altered some other bits...

So inside the tin I've added a little package of cranberry teabags, a 2010 coaster calendar with a magnet on the back, a post-it note holder and a notebook & pen set.

I bought the little notebook from Tesco a few weeks ago (think they were 2 for £1 at the time). I have added paper to the front of the notebook and also wrapped around the pen. The little packet is cranberry teabags and I have simply added a sleeve of the paper and a flower.

This is a post-it note holder using a coaster and a clippy thing (bought a tub of them from Home Bargains for 99p) and a coaster calendar (calendar tab by Anita's - 99p for 10).

Passion for ProMarkers Challenge - Week 15 Girly & Glittery

This is my card for the current Passion for ProMarkers challenge. I am pretty new to using ProMarkers but I am in love with them already. I stuck to pink shades (blush, coral, dusky pink...) to colour my Magnolia girly in. I added some Stickles glitter glue to the flowers in her hair. My paper is from DCWV Nana's Nursery and is also glittered. The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards. The embossed vellum circle is from my lovely friend Karen and it's the first one of these I've actually used as I think they are too beautiful to use. Pink cardstock, adhesive pearls, flowers, brad and ribbon are all from my stash. Hope you like it, I really enjoyed making it x
