Cards For Men - Challenge 18, Long Summer Days

The theme over at Card for Men this time is Long Summer Days - don't you wish we'd had more of these this summer! We are being sponsored this time by the fab digital image shop Phindy's Place. I was lucky enough to be able to play with some Phindy's Place images, I just love this lil chap relaxing in the paddling pool and had to make my DT card with him.

Phindy's Place Digi Stamps is where you can find hundreds of beautifully drawn and detailed images for all your handmade card, scrapbook and paper crafting projects. Digi stamping is a new endeavor for children's book illustrator Philomena O'Neill and she enjoys drawing charming line images for crafters to color and embellish for their own creative efforts. Philomena likes to think of this as a collaboration between two artists. Please stop by at Phindy's Place, you are going to find images you love!

Please do come and join in the fun with our Long Summer Days theme at Cards for Men and have a look at the gorgeous DT cards.

I have teamed this lil beauty Lily with some old embellies lurking in my stash and paper that I have never cut before cos I love it so much. I never cease to be amazed at what I find in my stash when I have a rummage, so many things I have forgotten about or can't remember buying. The stash ban is doing me loads of good as it is making me look properly at what I already have.

Zig-Zag Christmas Cards

I saw a zig-zag card in this month's Craft Beautiful magazine and liked the idea so set about making a couple to add to my Christmas card stash. I have made my zig-zag cards by using a piece of cardstock that is three times longer than the width so 3"x9", 4"x12" etc. I have scored the cardstock twice (for 3" card at 3" & 6" and for a 4" card it's at 4" & 8") and folded, voila a zig-zag card!

This one is dinky and the front panel measures 3x3". I love the small shape and used up some scraps of MME xmas papers from last year and some gorgeous digi penguins from Pink Petticoat. I bought these cuties last year and never got round to making anything with them - oops!

I would like to enter my mini card into the following challenges:
Allsorts - Challenge 66, Miniature (hope this is ok as my card front measures 3" square)

Supplies:
Cardstock - Bazzill Dotted Swiss
Paper - MME Merry Days of Christmas
Images - Pink Petticoat coloured with Promarkers and Picket Fence Distress Stickles
Buttons - Crafty Emma's Store
Flowers - from stash
Brad - from stash
Sentiment - gorgeous freebie from Shirley Clark
Tools - MS scoreboard, circle and scallop circle Nesties

This one is larger at 4" and was so so easy to put together as the images are LOTV die cuts so no colouring required! The paper is more I had left over from last year.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
MSE - Artydoll's Red & Green challenge
Crafty Angels - Week 42, Something Old, Something New (my old is paper and images, new is snowflake die)

Supplies:
Cardstock - Bazzill Dotted Swiss (green), Bazzill Basics (red)
Paper - MME Merry Days of Christmas
