Something for Dad...

This is the only thing I have made for Father's Day, time has really not been on my side these last few weeks so Father's Day has been almost 100% bought - including all cards - shame on me hey...? We are off to see the new Superman film tomorrow as part of my OH's Father's Day pressie. He's also got a photo mug, a coaster, a t-shirt (Superman), chocs and a keyring. Ohhhh and the new Dan Brown book :-) We are meeting up with my brother and his family and my mum and dad for lunch on Sunday, will be a lovely catch up with all of us together.

I've bought my dad something a little different this year. I usually go for a shirt or something for the garden but I've bought a voucher for afternoon tea for two at a manor house near where he and my mum live. The voucher arrived and it is slightly smaller than A5 and on paper. It looked rather boring so I decided to jazz it up a bit and made a folder envelopey type thing to put it in. I then made a band to slot over the folder to keep it flat, I think these are called belly bands but I could be mistaken. What do you think...?

Here's a pic of the inside...

Supplies:
Papers - Wellington by DoCrafts
Father's Day sentiment seal - Cat's Life Press
Sentiment tag - Wellington die cut sentiments by DoCrafts
Buttons - stash
Other - brown chalk ink pad, kraft cardstock, twine

I would like to enter my project into the following challenges:

  6. Sarah what a lovely thoughtful gift that both your parents can enjoy. Beats the heck out of alcohol, aftershave and socks!

You have presented it beautifully in its little gift pouch too. It looks like a posh wallet.
