Eeekkk Big Cards!!!

So I showed you earlier in the week how I tried using distress inks which freak me out, well, this post is about one of my other crafting no-nos - BIG cards! All my cards are 6x6 or smaller but I was asked to make 2 cards for people who are leaving at work. Rather than make huge cards I have stuck 2 8x8 cards together to make a Z-shape card. I think there is plenty of room for people to pop their messages and there was less 'space' on the front for me to try to fill. What do you think...

A close up of one of the tiny butterflies surrounding the sentiment...
This shows the Z-shape...
This uses papers in the same range but a different colourway...

Sentiments - from the New Beginnings Sentiments set and the Smile Sentiments set from Whimsy Stamps
Papers & bunting - Tea Dance Collection by Craftwork Cards
Pearls, ribbon, buttons & resin flowers - stash
Other - Tim Holtz swirls embossing folder, Woodware leaf punch, Spellbinders circle die, brown inkpad

Thanks for looking, see you on Saturday for our new Allsorts challenge x

  5. Very pretty cards Sarah and what a fab way to make them big enough for everyone to write in. I to am afraid of all the space on larger cards and tend to stick to 6 x6 most of the time.

  6. Stunning card, I am like you and stick to the smaller cards, but I do occasionally like to make the bigger ones ;) These are gorgeous xx
